Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to the rescue
Posted by David Hazi in General, Videos on March 30th, 2009
As I wrote in this previous post, http://www.thefinalprayer.com/?p=291, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has rapidly pushing for a bill that would ban the United States from entering into a global currency. Such an agreement would be a disaster for the United States, as we would no longer be able to regulate the worth of our own currency. As we have seen in other countries that have poor economies/managing governments, they print higher value bills because they cannot regulate the worth of their currency.
The Obama administration and the Federal Reserve has come out and made comments suggesting they are open to the possibility. G20 meeting is less than a month away and there may be a strong push to enter into some sort of agreement or treaty, binding us to a global system, eliminating our national sovereignty. Time is of the essence as massive changes are sweeping in at an extremely rapid pace. I don’t want to sound like an alarmist and scream the sky is falling, but we are indeed in a dire situation. There is hope however. If we all unite and become active.
I heard a great line this weekend. Our soldiers and veterans go overseas to defend the Constitution facing the end of a gun, so we must too be patriots here at home, and stand in front of those who wish to attack our freedoms and liberties. If you have not called or written your state representatives to co-sponsor Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s bill, you must do so immediately.
Here is Congresswoman Michele Bachmann speaking with Sean Hannity on his radio show.

States reasserting sovereignty under 10th Amendment
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 29th, 2009
Almost 30 states have introduce legislation in their states that would assert their sovereignty over the federal government. csmonitor.com has a good article you can view here.
The reversal of the federal stem cell research ban, a stimulus package widely seen as a backdoor grasp for more federal power, and fears about gun control have accelerated a state sovereignty movement that began taking shape under the Bush administration. In the past, both liberals and conservatives have used states’ rights arguments for political expedience. That may be the case now as ousted conservatives try to force issues out of Washington and into states, where they have a better chance of winning them.

Washington, D.C., Mar 25 - In response to suggestions by China, Russia, and other countries around the world calling on the International Monetary Fund to explore a multi-national currency, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-6) has introduced a resolution that would bar the dollar from being replaced by any foreign currency.
Lets see if this catches on or not.

US Dollar to lose world’s reserve currency status
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 26th, 2009
In a previous post, I posed the question of whether or not we may start seeing ridiculously large US bills, like the trillion dollar bill from Zimbabwe. The big event I brought up was the upcoming G20 meeting and whether or not they would seriously consider replacing the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Well, its looking like a serious possibility.
Geithner, the super smart guy he is, slipped up this week. Obama came out a few says ago and said that the dollar was strong and that we will not accept a global currency. However, the next day his treasury secretary came out and said that the US was open to the possibility of a new global reserve currency.
“We’re actually quite open to that suggestion – you should see it as rather evolutionary rather building on the current architecture rather than moving us to global monetary union,” he said.
If the dollar loses it’s status as the reserve currency, you can bet the value will take a gigantic hit.

A trillion dollar US bill?
Posted by David Hazi in Editorials, General on March 23rd, 2009
Taken from the Ludwig von Mises Institute, you can find the article here.
Could we be seeing a trillion on a US dollar pretty soon? Probably not too soon, but it is a real eventual possibility. Since the United States removed itself from the gold standard inflation has been the name of the game for the US economy. Inflation really started to take off when Nixon removed us from the Brenton Woods Agreement making the US dollar the world’s reserve currency. In an article from Investing Blog about hyperflation they have this to say:
Typically the trickle down of inflation takes time, but we’ve been carpet-bombing dollars and from here the Fed wants to begin “quantitative easing” which is the scientific name for “inflation.”
What is going to happen to the US dollar if the world no longer considers it to be the world’s reserve currency. Oh no that will never happen, the critics might say. But according to the following articles, Russia and China have both make propositions to create a new world currency:
The Kremlin published its priorities Monday for an upcoming meeting of the G20, calling for the creation of a supranational reserve currency to be issued by international institutions as part of a reform of the global financial system. Read more here.
In another article, China had this to say:
China’s central bank on Monday proposed replacing the US dollar as the international reserve currency with a new global system controlled by the International Monetary Fund.
The key here is the G20 summit on April 20th. Investing Blog says in this article:
The G20 Summit is set to happen in the UK on April 20th of this year. The meeting usually goes calmly, the leaders address certain economic and monetary policy issues and then they leave and nothing really happens. Except this year. In the midst of a global financial crisis, there’s going to be a lot of wheeling and dealing and plenty of discussions about world monetary policy.
Further in the article they say:
Ahead of the meeting are several important economic announcements. The first is China’s shrinking trade surplus, it fell some 90% in the month-ago period to $4 Billion in February. $4 Billion is practically nothing compared to its previous trade surpluses and likely a large reason the Fed decided to buy US Treasuries. If China isn’t drawing surpluses, its foreign reserves won’t be growing and the US will have to find a new creditor.
More radical news though is that Russia and China may press for the removal of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency in favor of a basket of currencies. Instead of being 100% dollar, it might be something like 25% euro, 25% dollar, 25% pound, 25% yuan.
A trillion dollar US bill? It may be coming to a wallet near you.
Martial law? No not the Walker Texas Ranger type.
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 23rd, 2009
Schenectady mayor considers options, martial law over police woes.
The mayor said there is another option – and that would be declaring martial law. The governor would have to declare it and then the National Guard would come in. The mayor said it’s more for a transition to a new police force if that were to happen.
He said, “It may be that as a stopgap measure, that you would need military forces – State Police, National Guard.”
Stop gap or not, this is scary because this is how ideas like this get spread on a larger scale. Start introducing military forces to our streets to get the public used to the idea and before you know it, that is all you will see.

Obama’s massive budget deficit
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 23rd, 2009
The following graph is from the Ludwig von Mises Institute. The lines shows the surplus or deficit for the budget over the past 100ish years. Bush spent about $6 trillion in eight years, Obama has spent about $12 trillion in two months. You can see the original article here. Remember the deficit is just the overall debt for the budget in one particular year. Over several years the deficit is called debt and added to the rest of the U.S. debt obligations, which include things like social security and medicare.

Regulations on ammunition
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 18th, 2009
Selwyn Duke reports in an article you can find here:
Gordon Hutchinson reports at a blog called “The Shootist” that Obama has just disallowed the Department of Defense (DOD) from selling spent brass shell casings to manufacturers of ammunition for the civilian market. This means that these companies will now have to buy new brass and produce their own shell casings, a much more expensive — and wasteful — proposition.
To break this down for some of you who may not know much about ammunition, this is basically how it works. When I was in the Army we would go out to the range and shoot lots of bullets at targets and whatnot. After you shoot all the bullets, you have the casing left over and that is called “brass.” We would all get together and round up all the spent brass and turn it back into the ammo depot. The military then takes all those extra casings and sells them to private manufacturers of ammunition.
The military expends A LOT of brass each and every day. If private companies are not able to purchase this extra brass, some of them might not be able to stay in business at all, while those who can will have to drastically cut production or raise prices significantly.
Whether you like guns or bullets is one thing, but the Second Amendment, CLEARLY states we have the right to bear arms and this includes the things you shoot out of them. This is clearly a backdoor attempt to destroy the weapons industry. Who cares though right? If you do not hunt or target shoot then it doesn’t really matter. Wrong. The issue here is Obama wants to have control of every aspect of your life, because the masses are too dumb to make their own choices. Taking away the only way to legitimately defend yourself and your family only ensures that he can keep passing ridiculous legislation and there is nothing you can do about it.
