Regulations on ammunition
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 18th, 2009
Selwyn Duke reports in an article you can find here:
Gordon Hutchinson reports at a blog called “The Shootist” that Obama has just disallowed the Department of Defense (DOD) from selling spent brass shell casings to manufacturers of ammunition for the civilian market. This means that these companies will now have to buy new brass and produce their own shell casings, a much more expensive — and wasteful — proposition.
To break this down for some of you who may not know much about ammunition, this is basically how it works. When I was in the Army we would go out to the range and shoot lots of bullets at targets and whatnot. After you shoot all the bullets, you have the casing left over and that is called “brass.” We would all get together and round up all the spent brass and turn it back into the ammo depot. The military then takes all those extra casings and sells them to private manufacturers of ammunition.
The military expends A LOT of brass each and every day. If private companies are not able to purchase this extra brass, some of them might not be able to stay in business at all, while those who can will have to drastically cut production or raise prices significantly.
Whether you like guns or bullets is one thing, but the Second Amendment, CLEARLY states we have the right to bear arms and this includes the things you shoot out of them. This is clearly a backdoor attempt to destroy the weapons industry. Who cares though right? If you do not hunt or target shoot then it doesn’t really matter. Wrong. The issue here is Obama wants to have control of every aspect of your life, because the masses are too dumb to make their own choices. Taking away the only way to legitimately defend yourself and your family only ensures that he can keep passing ridiculous legislation and there is nothing you can do about it.

Another $1 trillion!
Posted by David Hazi in General, Videos on March 18th, 2009
If you haven’t already, I would suggest reading my post “How much money is a trillion dollars?” because The Federal Reserve just announced it pumped another $1 trillion into the economy. They said they would purchase more Treasury bonds and mortgage securities. In case you haven’t read some of my other articles about what money is, buying more Treasury bonds increases the federal government’s overall debt. The next year, the first thing the government does is pay off the interest it owes on all of its Treasury bonds. This is sort of a double whammy so to speak, while The Fed prints more money out of thin air, it increases inflation, and buying more Treasury bonds devalues the currency.

What you are not seeing in most media sources are the thousands, if not millions of Americans who have already taken to the streets to protest this outrageous spending.

The Three Stooges
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 18th, 2009
The following is an article by Joan Swirsky at The New Media Journal. The article really goes into depth about the marxo-fascist policies Obama and his cohorts have been promoting.
It’s not witches, but the three warlocks of the new administration – President Obama, his chief Chicago-Machine-henchman Rahm Emanuel, and his tax-cheating Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner – who are boiling the American people in a cauldron of their own, not with poisoned entrails, eye of newt, or toe of frog, but with a fatal mixture of a trillion-dollars of so-called “stimulus” dollars, draconian tax hikes, doomed-to-fail bailouts, and additional health care and other expenditures that are, above all, designed to bankrupt the United States of America.
To see the entire article click here.
No person with the amount of schooling Obama has gone through, can honestly believe, that his policies are for the best interests of the country. He is bankrupting everyone from our elderly to our youth. Our elderly cannot retire because their savings are being wiped out and our youth is going to have to fit the bill for all this massive spending. People have complained about spending for years and decades, but this is unprecedented. Morality? Well that is going down the tubes with all the cash from the stimulus.
We are at the tipping point and it is going to take patriots to rise up and meet this challenge head on. We cannot allow this ideology to spread like a virus throughout every last nook and cranny. If you are unsure as to how to get involved, send me an e-mail, and I will send you a list of things you can do as an individual.

Obama to make veterans pay for own treatment
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 17th, 2009
As a two time veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, this latest bit of news really, really ticks me off. I at times can be extremely critical of the military from top to bottom, but this is something I will fight day and night for, veterans benefits. Obama wants to make veterans pay for their own treatment for service related injuries. Regardless if you served overseas or not, just a basic four year stint in the military can lead to personal injuries. In my unit we would run anywhere from two to eight miles almost daily just for physical training, not including the training for the rest of the day. On top of that doing special things like air assault or airborne take a tremendous toll on your body. If the government is going to send you off to war, the very least they can do is pay for your medical bills related to service; especially in the wake of talks about national health care.
Here is the article about this:
WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

Is the U.S. headed for civil war?
Posted by David Hazi in Editorials, General on March 16th, 2009
As the days continue to tick by since Obama was sworn into office and the economic crisis begins to unfold as extremely dire, I keep reading more and more articles about chaos, revolt, revolution, and civil war. I have long held the view that everything as we know it could just suddenly get up and disappear on us. But it is another thing to see it begin to unravel. If anyone mentioned something like this even a year ago, you would be called crazy.
Surely, America is a resilent place, full of high educated and brave people! Right? I long held that view myself, but as I get older, I start to see how complacent and apathetic Americans really are, just as the Tytler Cycle suggests. We have become the geese at the pond, that the sign warns us not to feed. Why? Because just like those geese, we keep coming back to the easiest place to get what we want.
People are beginning to catch on. They are catching on quite quickly too. I am amazed at how we went from just complaining about Bush to the sudden and stark realization that Main Street is drawing lines in the sand, all we need is a spark to set off the time bomb. Here is an interesting article that I came across today, talking about such things from www.financialsense.com.

A re-declaration of constitutional government
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 15th, 2009
I found this column on www.renewamerica.us and I thought I would repost it here. It was written by a man named Dan Popp. I am calling all of you to send this to each and every one of the people who are supposed to represent you in government. From your alderman to your senator.
A re-declaration of constututional government
By Dan Popp
Many Americans feel powerless to stop the outrageous and ongoing abuses by the federal government. They see as their only two choices: “write your congressman” (an exercise in futility when your congressman is corrupt), and armed revolt. This false choice is based on a misunderstanding.
Under the Constitution, the governing power of the nation is divided among the states and the various branches of the federal authorities. ALL of these government bodies - state legislatures with their separate houses, state executive and judicial powers, and similar elements in the federal government - were intended to provide “checks and balances” against each other. The Supreme Court is not the only body in the land that may interpret the Constitution. Each legislative, executive, and judicial body in the states, as well as in the federal government, is not only allowed, but morally required, to interpret and apply the safeguards of the Constitution against other authorities attempting to assume powers not granted by that document.
But the final authority on the limits of government power rests with the still- sovereign People. When all else fails, as it seems to have failed now, the People have full rights to protect themselves from tyranny. They may refuse to obey unconstitutional laws; they may refuse to accept government “help”; they may refuse to give up their private property when demanded by an unjust authority; they may determine that the federal government is in breach of our national contract and re-assert the sovereignty of their particular state or states. They may take such measures as they see fit to maintain their rights, and to restore constitutional government.
These were the explicit views of the Founders.
In the spirit of these sentiments, consider the following “Re-Declaration of Constitutional Government.”
WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America, agreeing with Thomas Jefferson that “Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force,” declare the following:
Whereas the Constitution of the United States is the binding legal contract by which the sovereign people, acting through the states, create a federal government and grant its “few and limited” powers;
Whereas the current members of the United States House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Executive branch have taken a sacred oath to uphold the Constitution;
Whereas many of them have intentionally, beyond all doubt and in full view of the world, broken that oath -
To wit, among other examples,
- Initiating a revenue bill (the Emergency Economic Security Act) in the Senate instead of in the House of Representatives;
- Creating and sustaining unauthorized “Government-Sponsored Enterprises” that have preyed on citizens;
- Interfering with lawful businesses by loaning money, guaranteeing loans and making demands concerning the methods of operation of private enterprises;
- Passing laws that merely transfer money from some Americans to others;
- Giving extra-constitutional powers to the Secretary of the Treasury and other unelected officials;
- Taking over, and designing to take over, private businesses, such as those in the health care and banking industries; and
- Loading generations of Americans with debt (thus taxing future generations without representation and undermining the country’s ability to defend itself) under the name of “Economic Stimulus” -
- In short, attempting to destroy the free economic system of this republic, and replace it with totalitarian socialism;
We hereby declare that all unconstitutional and anti-constitutional laws, orders and judgments are “unauthoritative, void, and of no force.”
We assert that all debts incurred by legislators acting outside their delegated authority are not binding on the people of the United States.
We call on our fellow citizens to refuse to accept these laws, and to refuse government “gifts” of illegally confiscated or distributed money.
We call on them to rise up in peaceful protest of unconstitutional actions by their so-called representatives, and to initiate recall proceedings and other appropriate measures against the betrayers of the public trust.
We call on all businesses which might gain from government largesse to decline its offers, however urgent their need might seem, and to reject any government control or ownership.
We call on state and municipal governments to reject unconstitutional laws, to refuse to enforce them, to turn down all funds offered by the federal government, and to assert their sovereignty.
We call on those Senators and Congressmen who have broken their oath of office to resign. We call on the faithful few to impeach fellow members who should resign but will not. We demand that the United States Treasury not only obey constitutional limits itself, but refuse to pay the salaries, retirement compensation, and any other benefits to Senators and Representatives who have broken their oath.
We call on any non-corrupt members in the Executive and Judicial Branches to refuse to enforce unconstitutional edicts of any kind, and to use their power and influence to restore constitutional governance to the United States.
Without legitimizing the false theory that only the Supreme Court of the United States can declare an act unconstitutional, we call on public and private legal groups to bring suits to the high Court. We call on judges in all state and federal courts to strike down and reverse these laws.
We call on foreign governments, companies, and citizens to do business with the United States government only as and when its actions are legal - that is, in accordance with the Constitution. As friends, we advise them that agreements made outside the enumerated powers of that document are invalid.
And we call on the highest authority, our Creator, who has granted our rights and who has blessed this republic so bountifully in the past, to give to our people and leaders a spirit of repentance and humility - that He might forgive our sins against His just laws, and restore the United States of America as “one nation under God,” with a government defined and limited by the Constitution.

Illinois “FOCA” Moves to House Floor
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 14th, 2009
I believe if this passes, it opens the floodgates for a national FOCA to pass. Abortion along with embryonic stem cell research is always lobbied to make the opposition seem non compassionate. Stem cells can make a paralyzed man walk! or What if the mother is raped? However, what they don’t tell you is abortion is indeed, the murder of an innocent life. But what if the child is going to be mentally retarded? Surely, we should spare him the agony right? I recall another civilization that did the same thing, the Spartans. At least they had the courage to look the child in the face before they threw it off a cliff.
These abortion advocates want nothing more than population control, to get rid of the “useless eaters.” Our world is spherical, with exponentially increasing populations and exponentially decreasing resources, and the “intellectual” powers that be understand this. This does not mean we should pick and choose who lives and who dies, it is unethical, immoral, and just flat out evil. As the saying goes, evil happens, when good men do nothing. Are you willing to be apart of a generation that allowed another holocaust to happen?
From LifeSiteNews:
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, March 12, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - An Illinois bill enshrining abortion as a “right” and introducing explicit sex education was approved by the Illinois House Human Services Committee yesterday in a 5-2 vote.
HB 2354, proposed by state House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie, D-Chicago, states that the government shall not “deny or interfere with an individual’s right” to abortion and contraception. The bill would nullify or prevent all common-sense legal restrictions on abortion, including health and safety regulations for abortion facilities, informed consent, and parental notification laws. If you live in Illinois, contact your representatives and tell them, NO!

How much money is a trillion dollars?
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 14th, 2009
I came across an interesting posting on the Young Americans for Liberty website, which they obtained from www.mint.com. They created a few graphics to help us visualize what a trillion dollars actually looks like in the grand scheme of things. Here is their list(if you want to see the posters, click here):
One trillion dollars can pay for all the goods and services produced in Australia in one year.
One trillion dollars is enough to run the Federal government for 103 days.
One trillion dollars can fund the military of every NATO country combined.
One trillion dollars can pay for every US military intervention and war since 9/11.
One trillion dollars is the market value of all stocked traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
One trillion dollars can pay the rent for every renter in the US for 3 years or the mortgages of every homeowner for 14 months.
One trillion dollars can repurchase all the homes that foreclosed in 2007 and 2008.
One trillion dollars can pay for additional 11 weeks of vacation for every American worker.
One trillion dollars can pay for the inflation adjusted cost of The New Deal twice over or The Marshall Plan ten times over.
One trillion dollars is enough to pay for one tenth of the spending for the current bailout.
Everything before this combined < Bailout

Combine this imagery with what Chris Martenson shows us in this Crash Course video series:
A stack of $1000 bills 4 inches thick, is one million dollars.
A stack of $1000 bills 358 feet high, is one billion dollars.
A stack of $1000 bills 67.9 miles high, is one trillion dollars.
Does a $10 trillion bailout and a $65 trillion US debt obligation for 2009 start to sound a little outrageous? We are not immune to financial collapse because we have the internet and nuclear bombs. The Founding Fathers warned us against having a central bank. Outside of trade issues and war, it was the single most important topic of debate for nearly the first 150 years of the country. How quickly we forget what millions of people have died to protect.

We have been up and running for almost two weeks now. We have been growing and have received over 500 hits so far in our first two weeks. I do not really like doing this but I am humbly asking you, our audience, the faithfull patriot, if you like The Final Prayer, please help support us. Running a website does cost some money. Right now I am just a one man crew here and I am just a poor college student. I would spend more of my own money on the things I’d like to do with the site, but I have been the victim of this economic crisis like many other millions of Americans who find themselves unemployed. A lot of people feel the same way I do and just do not know how they can go about and make a difference. Donating to a cause is always a great way to help support it. So please if you have any extra dollars, even if it is just one or two, it would help out greatly to keep the website running.
You can also help out by spreading the word to your friends about this website.

Salty pork signing
Posted by David Hazi in General on March 11th, 2009
Obama signed a new spending bill within the last day. The bill is $410 billion and is laced with over 8500 porky amendments. Obama is so embarassed by signing this bill, he did so in private, leaving his pork a little salty. Earmarks can be good or bad though, as Ron Paul states in the following video:
However, when this country had increased its total debt obligations from $30 trillion to $65 trillion over the passed 7 years, we can see that regardless of earmarks or not, what we need is to reign in this spending.
Contact these eight GOP officials who voted for the bill and express your outrage. Shame on them and any other politician who is stealing money from our children.

Lisa Murkowski 202/224-6665
Lamar Alexander 202/224-4944

The REAL Unemployment Statistics
Posted by David Hazi in Editorials on March 10th, 2009
Ever wonder how the government calculates some of the statistics such as unemployment? Well you’re probably not alone. Once you start looking at the statistics and then look at community around you, you might think the government’s numbers seem funny.
How does the government define unemployment?
From the Bureau of Labor Statistics:
- People with jobs are employed.
- People who are jobless, looking for jobs, and available for work are unemployed.
- People who are neither employed nor unemployed are not in the labor force.
How does the government calculate the unemployment rate?
The equation is Unemployed Workers/Total Labor Force = Unemployment Rate.
That sounds simple enough, well, not really. According to this San Francisco Chronicle article:
To calculate unemployment, the Labor Department commissions a survey of about 60,000 households across the country. Participants who don’t have jobs are asked a series of questions to determine whether they want to work and whether they have actively taken steps to find employment. If they say that want jobs but aren’t looking, they are asked why they’ve given up the job hunt.
So they only include jobless people who are looking for a job. What about the people not looking for jobs? They are classified as discouraged workers. A discouraged worker is defined as a person who is eligible for employment, willing to work, but has not attempted to find employment in the last four weeks. Also not included in unemployment statistics are part-time workers.
John Williams, of www.ShadowStatistics.com, puts out his own estimates on several different indicators such as inflation, CPI, and unemployment. Here is his chart:

As you can see on this chart, the REAL unemployment figures are closer to 19-20%. A much bigger difference than the 8% the government reports.

Obama Frankenstein
Posted by David Hazi in Editorials, General on March 10th, 2009
Obama Frankenstein has lifted all the restrictions on stem cell research. Denying thousands of innocent human beings the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
Obama said, ” In recent years when it comes to stem cell research, rather than furthering discovery, our government has forced, what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values.” later he said, “As a person of faith, I believe we are called together to care for each other and ease human suffering.”
As a person of faith that wants to ease human suffering?! Perhaps Obama does not know what an embryo is. According to www.dictionary.com an embryo is:
the young of a viviparous animal, esp. of a mammal, in the early stages of development within the womb, in humans up to the end of the second month.
Embryonic stem cell research, requires the murder of unborn children. Science, no wait, SOUND SCIENCE, explicitly states, that life begins at the moment of conception when the sperm fertilizes the egg. This is a fact and not a debate. Furthermore, brain activity can be found in an embryo as early as the 5th or 6th weeks. A living human being who has brain activity, is being killed and put into a petri dish and dissected in the name of science. I can recall other times in the history of mankind where people were sacrificed for the advancement of “sound science.”
- Nazi scientists conducted experiments on Jews, including freezing, poisons, mustard gas, etc.
- Little Albert experiment by John Watson
- Stanley Milgrams Obedience Experiment
- Eugenics
And there are more. All of which were for the advancement of science. All of these did indeed actually advance science. Almost all of our knowledge about how the human body reacts to freezing or hypothermia was derived from the Nazi experiments.
Don’t get me wrong Mr. Obama, I would love to have a cure for people like Christopher Reeves, who can get out of a wheelchair and walk again. But I do not believe millions of human beings in an embryonic form should be killed in order for that to happen. Nor do I believe that I should be forced to fund these murders with my tax dollars. If science can produce an alternative to cultivate stem cells to be used in research then I am all for it, but I still do not believe tax money should be used. If private investors want to fund or donate their own money for this cause, let them, but Americans should not be forced to pay for this.
So once again, Obama says one thing, and does another. Regardless of faith, I just do not understand how any human being can find it okay in their conscience to fund the murder and abortion of human life.
